Arnar Aoalsteinsson, Alexander Helgason and Hakon Bjornsson, seniors at the Reykjavík school, designed the app for the Android platform as part of a contest sponsored by the tenders of the Islendingabok database, a national record of Icelandic family trees stretching back to the middle ages, NBC News reported Monday. Advertisement A user of the app, which won the contest, can connect with the app installed on another device and bring up an alert if the two users share a grandparent. The app, dubbed "Incest Spoiler," has been downloaded 3,651 times and the team members said they are considering an iPhone version.
