Priest: Angels and Demons do exist

MOSCOW, April 9 (UPI) -- A senior Russian Orthodox Church clergyman said angels and demons do exist, but are often mistaken for aliens by those who encounter them.

"They are real creatures, humans come into contact with them as they sometimes reveal themselves," Vsevolod Chaplin, who oversees the church's public relations, told RIA Novosti.

Chaplin said the sun and universe rotate around the earth, but only in a logical sense, not a physical one.

He said that theory means the world was created so intelligent life occupies space that is proportionally small compared to the rest of the universe.
