ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Daisy, the Burmese rock python who resided at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, N.Y., has died at the age of 20, zoo officials confirmed.

A popular attraction of the zoo's traveling ZooMobile exhibit, she died in her sleep of age-related kidney failure. The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle noted Burmese rock pythons typically live to be 20 to 25 years of age.

"We all have fond memories of bringing Daisy out of her enclosure for meet-and-greets with children visiting the zoo. She will be missed," said Jeff Wyatt, the zoo's director of animal health and conservation.

There are currently 159 Burmese rock pythons in captivity and on display around the world, including Abby, another Seneca Park Zoo resident, the newspaper said.
