Dr. Rachel Francis of the Marion Animal Hospital said Wednesday the cat, dubbed "Fortunate," is receiving treatment for pulled muscles and a possible parasitic infection after she was trapped Tuesday, two days after she fell 80 feet from a tree when firefighters cut the branch she was perched on in a rescue attempt, The (New Bedford, Mass.) Standard Times reported Thursday. Advertisement "I don't see anything wrong with this cat; it's unbelievable," Francis said of the cat's miraculous lack of serious injuries. Francis said no owners have come forward for Fortunate yet, but staff members said her behavior indicates she was a pet and not a feral animal. The veterinarian said the cat will go up for adoption in about six weeks if no owner is found. Read More Australian cat survives 34-story fall
