LIDKOPING, Sweden, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- A Swedish school photo company has offered a sixth-grader $225 in compensation after a photo editing error gave her a third eye in her class yearbook.

Tilde Norgaard, a student at the Maneskold school in Lidkoping, and her family said she received her yearbook two weeks ago and soon discovered she had an extra eye on her forehead in the class photo, The Local.se reported Tuesday.

"First everyone was laughing, Tilde too, because we thought it was funny," Tilde's sister Anna said. "But then we noticed it made her sad and we realized it was actually quite bad that they never noticed the mistake."

Skolfoto Norden, the company that took the photos, has offered the girl $225 in compensation and said corrected yearbooks will be issued.

"Things like this just can't happen. But in this case it did. It's really embarrassing for us. I'm just happy that Tilde seemed to have taken the whole thing well," said David Nabb, head of photography for the company.
