DELAND, Fla., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said a woman was arrested for calling 911 to report she did not think a deputy was handling an incident properly.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Desarea Clark, 21, became angry at a deputy she called to her home near DeLand Monday because he told her there was not sufficient evidence to arrest her neighbor, whom she accused of stealing her wallet.

Clark called 911 and demanded to have the chief of police or another higher-ranking officer sent to her home.

"I want a new policeman or anybody to come out here because he is not doing his job," Clark said. "He is telling me that I am going to go to jail."

The arrest report said the deputy advised Clark not to call 911 because her complaints were not an emergency. However, the dispatcher confirmed to the deputy that the woman had called the emergency number and he placed Clark under arrest.

Clark was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on a charge of misusing a wireless 911 system.
