LAS VEGAS, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Denny's Corp. says it plans to open a downtown Las Vegas location that offers a wedding chapel complete with a wedding cake made from pancakes.

John Miller, Denny's chief executive officer, said the flagship diner in the Neonopolis shopping center will offer unique features including the wedding chapel, a full bar and a shop featuring exclusive Denny's merchandise.

"Denny's is 'Always Open' -- 24 hours a day, every day of the year -- and there is no question that Las Vegas operates on the same schedule, so this city was a natural fit for a world-class Denny's," Miller said.

Frances Allen, Denny's chief marketing officer, told Time magazine the restaurant's wedding chapel will offer cakes made from pancakes.

"It's unique. It's different. It's going to be an icon within Vegas. People are going to want to travel to see this Denny's," she said. "The wedding scene is such a part of Vegas, and who doesn't want a wedding cake made out of pancakes?"
