EMERALD, Wis., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A 90-year-old Wisconsin man celebrated the 68th anniversary of his World War II parachute jump by skydiving with his two sons.

Claude Williams of Emerald said he and his sons made good Saturday on a promise he made to coworkers in the 1960s that he would sky dive on the anniversary of the July 28, 1944, parachute jump from a falling B-17 bomber if he lived to be 90 years old, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press reported Wednesday.

Williams said he took a tandem jump with a worker from Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin, Wis.

"He looked after me like a mother hen," Williams said.

"I think it went even better than I expected," Williams said. "All in all, we had a great time."
