Investigators said Wednesday the snake was badly decomposed but was likely a python, Radio France Internationale reported Friday. Advertisement The discovery raised concerns about people throwing their dead pets into the Seine. Police said they have noted a growing problem with exotic-pet owners abandoning the animals when they become too large. "Mature reflection and proper knowledge of these animals are necessary before buying them," a police official said.
