LONDON, June 15 (UPI) -- Paramedics in London said they are expecting Friday night's Euro 2012 soccer match to result in the busiest "booze bus" night of the year.

The London Ambulance Service said two customized ambulances will be on call in the West End to give rides to dangerously drunk people following the game against Sweden in the Ukraine and a recovery center has been set up in the Soho neighborhood for fans who need to be monitored while they sleep off their intoxication, the London Evening Standard reported Friday.

Brain Hayes, a team leader with the ambulance service, said Monday night's game against France resulted in less drunkenness than they prepared for due to England's better-than-expected performance in the match.

"Monday's result has given people a lot of hope. If England wins, they will drink to celebrate and if they lose they will carry on drinking regardless," Hayes said.
