The homeowner, Helen Indiere, 96, was unharmed.
Investigators said Anderson, who refused to submit to a breath test, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
"The impressive part was it was a ... convertible with the top down and there was barely a scratch" on Anderson and her passenger, Huntington Fire Chief Ken Cochran said. "They were very, very lucky."
Cochran said the incident could have been much worse had National Grid workers not quickly been able to close off a gas leak caused by the stove being ripped from the kitchen.
"It could have been a disaster," Cochran said.
