The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said the 31-year-old man told deputies he was drinking alone in his back yard around 4 a.m. Monday when someone attacked him from behind, the Bradenton (Fla.) Herald reported Monday. Advertisement The victim said he turned around and was struck in the head with a blunt object, which left a 2-inch gash requiring stitches. The attacker searched the man's pockets for money but ended up leaving empty-handed, investigators said.
