Ron Paul 'sort of' endorses 'Stache Act'

ST. CHARLES, Mo., March 19 (UPI) -- The American Mustache Institute says Ron Paul supports its proposed "Stache Act" although the presidential hopeful has said nothing on the subject.

The institute said Paul, R-Texas, who is seeking the Republican presidential nomination, endorsed the "Stache Act" -- the Stimulus To Allow Critical Hair Expenses -- which would give a $250 tax credit to mustache-wearing citizens for facial hair products and upkeep, during a recent campaign stop in St. Charles, Mo.

However, an institute member appearing in a YouTube video of the appearance admitted the endorsement amounted to the congressman giving "sort of a thumbs up" when he shouted at him about the act.

The American Mustache Institute, which seeks to promote acceptance of mustaches in the workplace and across society, said it is planning a "Million Mustache March" in support of the "Stache Act" April 1 and H&R Block will donate money to clean water charity Millions from One for every participant.
