Everit Terhune, a longtime board member of the Humane Society, said he found the feline frightened and skinny behind a Centerville business recently and he took her to the shelter, where they found an implanted microchip from a Hawaii shelter, which put them in touch with the cat's family, WDTN-TV, Dayton, Ohio, reported Thursday. "The husband waited at the rest stop for 6 hours, hoping she would show up, and she never did," said Elaine Allison, shelter manager for the Humane Society. Allison said the cat will be returned to her family Saturday.
