Investigators said the couple were sleeping in their basement suite in Saanick when a red Jaguar clipped a fence and a parked car before smashing into their home and hitting the bed, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday. Advertisement Police said no one inside the home was injured. The 51-year-old driver attempted to flee on foot but was arrested and taken to a hospital to receive treatment for head injuries. Investigators said the man may have been drinking and a criminal investigation has been opened.
