Police: Man used caiman to guard drugs

ROME, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Police in Rome said a man was cited on charges related to having a caiman "capable of biting off a man's hand" guarding his stash of marijuana and anesthetics.

Investigators said the "undernourished" caiman, an animal similar to a small crocodile, was guarding the drugs, which were intended for medical use, ANSA reported Friday.
