A truck hauling a cargo of Edy's ice cream overturned Friday on Interstate 69 near Fort Wayne, and when responders pulled the trailer upright, scores of cartons spilled on to the roadway. Advertisement Fort Wayne Police Sgt. Carl Egly said the chilly December temperatures curbed the melting process, making the cleanup easier and possibly saving most of the cargo. In fact, a crew from the nearby Edy's plant showed up with pallets and a forklift and loaded the ice cream on to another truck, The (Fort Wayne) Journal Gazette said Saturday. The driver of the truck, who sustained minor injuries, apparently was going too fast on an onramp or else the load somehow shifted. "That threw her off and the thing plopped over," Egly explained.
