Horror convention takes to the seas

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Dark Star Fantasy Cruises in Florida is selling tickets for the "Tides of Torture" cruise, billed as the world's first horror convention at sea.

Dark Star said the cruise, which will take place April 12-16 and costs $699 per person, will feature stars from movies including "Machete," the "Hatchet" series, the "Halloween" series, the "Hellraiser" series and the "Friday the 13th" series.

The organizers said the cruise will also include movie screenings, a "scream queen" contest and a "Dance of the Dead."
