Tracey Sconyers, a Candy Cane Lane resident, said she heard some loud, mean talking outside her house around midnight. She saw three or four people walking onto a neighbor's porch before leaving in a sport utility vehicle-style limo -- and by the next morning, she saw many of the street's decorations had been stolen or destroyed.
"This was a very different level of vandalism that happened," Sconyers said of the destruction. "They were out to destroy things."
All that remained of the inflatable Grinch was a few scraps of fabric, though the community was able to purchase a new one on eBay Wednesday, the blog said.
