MOTALA, Sweden, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A Swedish viewer of an Austrian biathlon event says she was shocked when a Swedish reporter, unaware he was live, joked about a "women's naked relay."
Johanna Engstrom of Motala, Sweden, said she was watching the Hochfilzen, Austria, biathlon Sunday on pay service TV4 Premium when the Swedish reporters began performing sound checks and joking with one another as if they didn't know they were on the air, The Local reported Monday.
"They didn't seem aware that they we're on air. Suddenly the reporter says 'Hi and welcome to the women's naked relay,'" Engstrom said.
"It is obviously not family friendly to watch the biathlon any longer," she said.
Fredrik Olofson, a TV4 editor, said he was unaware of any slip-ups during Sunday's broadcast, but he said the conversation can get a bit rowdy before events.
"But if the reporter said something like that while we were rehearsing I will naturally remind him that we shouldn't be silly in rehearsal," he said.
