Chula Vista police Capt. Gary Wedge said the worker, whose name was not released, turned the money over to a staffer at the Chula Vista Medical Center while working at a construction site near the emergency room during the summer and the cash was given to police, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Tuesday. Advertisement Wedge said a notice was published in a local newspaper June 30 and police kept the money for the required 90-day waiting period to see if anyone came forward to claim it.
