CHULA VISTA, Calif., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- A California construction worker who turned in $700 cash he discovered while working on a project at a hospital has taken the money home, police said.

Chula Vista police Capt. Gary Wedge said the worker, whose name was not released, turned the money over to a staffer at the Chula Vista Medical Center while working at a construction site near the emergency room during the summer and the cash was given to police, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Tuesday.
