HIRAM, Ga., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Authorities in Georgia said a registered sex offender was connected to three indecent exposure cases using information from his GPS ankle monitor.
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office said information from the ankle monitor worn by Anthony Sims, 42, of Hiram put him at the scenes of three incidents in the area of South Davis Mill and Hiram Sudie roads, beginning in mid-September, WGCL-TV, Atlanta, reported Friday.
Sgt. Brandon Gurley said victims told investigators they spotted a man exposing his genitals near their homes.
"We are fortunate that technology such as GPS exists, and we will continue to use it in order to keep our communities safe," Sheriff Gary Gulledge said.
Sims was taken to the Paulding County Detention Center on charges including public indecency and simple assault. Investigators said more charges are likely.
