Deer crashes into Idaho elementary school

KETCHUM, Idaho, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The principal of an Idaho elementary school said the building custodian arrived for work to find a deer had crashed through a glass door into the building.

Principal Don Haisley of Hemingway Elementary School in Ketchum said the custodian arrived at 5:30 a.m. Monday and found the deer had crashed through a glass door and was still inside the building, KTVB-TV, Boise, reported Thursday.

Haisley said the deer managed to butt a hole in a wall and damaged two doors but did not appear to be injured.

The principal said he did not know how much the damage would cost to repair.

The deer left on its own when the custodian opened a door for it.
