ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- A Florida man who went to a bar after his home was burglarized encountered the perpetrator at the establishment and got his Jaguars tickets back, police said.

Police said William "Drew" Webb of Atlantic Beach found his home had been burglarized Oct. 15 with missing items including the tickets, two laptop computers, two credit cards and $100 in change and later decided to go to Pete's Bar, The (Jacksonville) Florida Times-Union reported Thursday.

Webb met up with a friend, Sean O'Conner, at the bar and learned O'Conner had just been sold two Jaguars tickets by another man at the bar for $20 each. O'Conner said he also had a strange exchange with the man when the seller asked if fingerprints could be lifted from a knife left at the scene of a burglary.

Webb and O'Conner determined the man was the burglar and alerted police, who arrested Christopher Jeffery Eldred, 24, of Atlantic Beach on charges of burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property. He was jailed in lieu of $275,000 bail.
