Police: Robber waited in line at Starbucks

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- San Diego police said a patient robber waited in line at a Starbucks before telling a clerk he was robbing the store.

Police said the man, described as white and between 35 and 40 years old, was wearing all black with a bandanna over his face Sunday morning when he entered the Starbucks at Garnet Avenue and Gresham Street and waited in line until he reached a clerk, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Monday.

Investigators said the man did not display a weapon when he told the clerk he was robbing the store and demanded money.

The man fled in a full-size pickup with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
