Advertisement Minnetonka Police said the United Parcel Service driver called 911 at 8:15 a.m. Monday when the woman, whose name was not released, displayed a firearm and told him he could not leave her home because she was upset about the package being late, KARE-TV, Minneapolis, reported Thursday. Officers said they arrived to find the driver back in his truck without injuries. Police said they arrested the woman, but specific charges were not specified. Alligator caught in Rhode Island WOONSOCKET, R.I., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- A pair of Florida natives in Rhode Island said they were able to capture a loose alligator using an improvised noose. Trevor Bowman and Katelyn Howle said they spent hours Wednesday searching the waters of Woonsocket after hearing about a gator sighting in the area, WPRI-TV, Providence, R.I., reported Thursday. The pair said they eventually caught up to the reptile and were able to snare it using a homemade noose constructed from a broom and some rope. Advertisement Bowman said he is planning to turn the animal over to the Department of Environmental Management. iPhone app snaps photo of thief NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- New York police said a security app installed on a woman's iPhone gave them a picture of the man who stole it. Investigators said the $5.99 app, called iGotYa, snapped a picture of the thief when he attempted to unlock the phone with a wrong password after swiping it from a 31-year-old woman on the street, The New York Post reported Thursday. The app automatically e-mailed the photo of the man, described as in his 20s with an earring in his left ear, to the victim. Police said they are attempting to use the photo to identify the suspect. Costume shops stock up on Sheen NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- New York costume shops said their most in-demand get-ups this Halloween season have thus far been costumes based on actor Charlie Sheen. Robert McCorkle, 39, manager of the Abracadabra Super Store, said eight of his 12 Sheen masks, which come with sports coats and thin ties, have already been rented out at $65 each, the New York Daily News reported Thursday. Advertisement Costume shop Ricky's NYC said a costume dubbed "The Charlie," which includes a mask and a black-and-white shirt similar to one often seen on Sheen, has already garnered interest from patrons and Halloween Adventure marketing director Melody Bleak said the store's Sheen mask is expected to be a top item. "We have a full latex mask, we have the shirt that says 'winning,'" he said. "It's going to be very hot this year."
