MIAMI, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- A Florida man who lost his job as a substitute teacher when officials saw his nude pictures online said he plans to return to pornography as a profession.

Shawn Loftis, 36, who earned a master's degree in public administration from the University of Miami, said he enjoyed substitute teaching for the Miami-Dade school district so much that he earned the credentials to become a full-time teacher, The Miami Herald reported Thursday.

However, administrators fired him in March after learning he had nude pictures on the Internet, Loftis said.

He said officials told him he violated a School Board policy requiring employees to "conduct themselves, both in their employment and in the community, in a manner that will reflect credit upon themselves and the school system."

Loftis, who created the "World of Men" film series, said he does not believe he should have been fired.

"People think that because you are involved in some sex industry that you also molest children," he said. "That was the last thing I thought about. I went into those schools to give those kids a great education."

Loftis said he is now planning to return to the adult film industry.
