POMPANO, Fla., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- A Florida sheriff's deputy was transferred out of a female jail after he was accused of inappropriate behavior toward inmates.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said Deputy Mason Chibnick was transferred on his own request from the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano to an all-male facility after a probe found he had violated the code of ethics, failed to use good judgment and engaged in conduct unbecoming of a sheriff's office employee, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Friday.

Chibnick was issued a counseling slip by the sheriff's office advising him of the policies, records state.

The allegations against the deputy include tracking a former inmate down on Facebook, watching inmates perform sex acts on each other, sending a picture of his penis to the sister of a former inmate and allowing a "wild" atmosphere while he was in charge.

"During the course of this investigation, inmates and deputies described inappropriate conversations and contact that they witnessed Deputy Chibnick engaging in with female inmates," the investigative summary stated.

Chibnick denied the allegations, telling investigators he "would not do anything differently" if he returned to the women's facility.
