READING, England, July 15 (UPI) -- A Volkswagen Golf that belonged to the duchess of Cambridge has been put up for auction on eBay, along with cufflinks that could have been Prince William's.

Sonny Brazil, 21, whose father's car dealership near Reading bought the car from Catherine Middleton's brother, James, tells The Daily Telegraph the minimum bid is 20,000 pounds ($32,275).

Brazil said he is throwing a pair of silver cufflinks found in the car into the deal.

"I'm not quite sure who the cufflinks belong to," he said. "They might have been William's or they could have belonged to James. It is hard to say, but I'll be selling them with the car as well as all the receipts for work done on the car and the log book.

"I went to an auction house in Dorset a few weeks ago, and they said it would be worth 30,000 pounds-plus, purely because of the name in the log book."

The car's first listed owner is Catherine Middleton, who bought it in November 2001, soon after meeting the prince. She later gave it to her brother.

The auction ends July 24.

The royal household had no comment.
