RIVIERA BEACH, Fla., July 12 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they arrested a man accused of holding a knife to the throat of a 60-year-old relative during an argument about a remote control.
Riviera Beach Police say Karim Palmer, 36, held a knife to the throat of the male family member during an argument about the television remote late Sunday morning, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Tuesday.
An off-duty officer noticed the unidentified family member, who incurred a minor cut in the attack, running outside and retrieving a rake to defend himself. Palmer came out of the house and fought with the man, police said.
Palmer was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
