Coke machines offer 120 varieties

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 8 (UPI) -- Coca-Cola officials said new machines at Florida Burger King locations offering more than 120 varieties of beverages "are the iPods of fountain machines."

Dan Redler, senior customer marketing manager for Coca-Cola, said the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, installed at Florida Burger King stores and other locations including Pei Wei Asian Diners and Miami Subs Grill, offer 125 different varieties of Coke products, including rare flavors such as Coke with orange and Sprite with peach, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.

"These machines are the iPods of fountain machines," Redler said.

He said the company found most machines have each of the 125 varieties chosen at least once per month.

Charles Davis, 61, a customer at the Fort Lauderdale Burger King, said he was surprised by the touch screens.

"It's going to take time to get used to these," he said.
