CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., June 30 (UPI) -- A Tennessee woman said her late husband's body was exhumed to allow funeral home workers to replace his dentures with the correct pair.

Phyllis Manis said her husband, Kenneth, would not have wanted to be buried with someone else's property, so she obtained a judge's order and the body was exhumed last week at Chattanooga's National Cemetery, WTVC-TV, Chattanooga, reported.

"I knew he wouldn't rest in peace with this happening," Manis said.

Manis said her husband was buried with the wrong dentures this month because his belongings became mixed up with another man's while he was at Parkridge Medical Center just before his death.

"An 83-year-old man who went through a horrible surgery woke up and didn't have any way to eat because he didn't have his teeth," she said.

Manis said the body was reburied with the correct dentures.
