Jason Friedland, director of investments for Iron Stone Real Estate and one of the building's owners, said workers installing utility lines at the Philadelphia building in April discovered the time capsule inside a wall next to the 1929 cornerstone, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday. Advertisement Friedland said the lead box contained newspapers, photographs and pamphlets detailing the history of the college, which became the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1970. "I was extremely excited," Friedland said of the discovery. "It's an interesting link to the past."
