RUSSELL, Ky., May 29 (UPI) -- Police say they arrested a homeless woman who allegedly took a topless swim in the Ohio River and then stole some clothes and a sandwich from a riverside home.
Tina Carmon, 46, may have been a bit tipsy when she stripped down to her panties and jumped into the river in Ironton, Ohio and was carried downstream to Russell, Ky., police said.
Police responding to a report of a potential drowning instead arrested the soggy swimmer after she made it to shore and then allegedly entered a Russell residence.
"She got a dress and a shirt and fixed herself a bologna sandwich and then she got arrested," Russell Patrolman Kevin Diedrich told the Ironton (Ohio) Tribune. "She was a little intoxicated."
