Defecating mail carrier keeps his job

PORTLAND, Ore., May 27 (UPI) -- U.S. Postal Service officials said a mail carrier photographed defecating in an Oregon yard will not be fired but has been moved to a different route.

A Postal Service representative said the worker, who was placed on unpaid leave after he was photographed using a Portland yard as a toilet, was reinstated following an official investigation and is being reassigned to a different route, KATU-TV, Portland, reported Friday.

The mail carrier was not identified and the representative did not identify the worker's new route.
