CHICAGO, May 9 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in Chicago said a man who illegally took nacho cheese from a convenience store was informed the topping was "'not yo' cheese."

Court records state Michael Richards, 50, of Chicago purchased a bag of chips Saturday from the 7-Eleven on the city's Near West Side and began covering the chips in nacho cheese from the toppings counter, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

The clerk confronted Richards and told him the nacho toppings are only for customers who purchase tortilla chips served in a plastic tray.

"The defendant was informed that it was 'not yo' cheese,'" Assistant State's Attorney Dan Piwowarczyk said.

The Chicago Sun-Times said Richards then grabbed a hold of the clerk's arm, twisted it behind his back and threatened him. He was arrested about a block away from the scene.

Richards was charged with felony robbery and ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
