Crash spills cereal on Ohio Turnpike

TOLEDO, Ohio, April 27 (UPI) -- The Ohio Highway Patrol said a portion of the Ohio Turnpike was closed for nearly three hours Wednesday morning when a crash spilled cereal onto the road.

The patrol said eastbound traffic near Toledo was shut down for nearly three hours after a semi driver, who investigators said may have fallen asleep at the wheel, crashed through a guard rail and landed on its side, leading a tow truck to crash into the trailer, WTVG-TV, Toledo, reported Wednesday.

Authorities said bulldozers were called in to clean up.

The semi driver was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and the tow truck driver refused medical treatment for minor injuries, the highway patrol said.
