Noisy sex leads to prostitution arrest

VAXJO, Sweden, April 22 (UPI) -- Swedish police said loud grunts heard coming from the apartment of a suspected prostitute led to the conviction of a man on a charge of paying for sex.

The 46-year-old Vaxjo man was convicted Tuesday of violating the country's laws against purchasing sexual services, The Local/TT news agency reported Friday.

Police said they spotted the man, whose name was not released, entering the home of a suspected prostitute in September and they soon heard loud grunts coming from the apartment, leading them to believe sex acts were taking place.

The man told police he had responded to an Internet advertisement for massage services and paid the woman $160. He told officers he and the woman had only engaged in oral sex.

"I was having problems getting an erection and wanted to see if getting a little massage would help," police quoted the man as saying.

The court fined the man an unspecified amount, The Local said.
