The 16th annual Dance Marathon, which ended Sunday night, involved participants dancing, playing games and participating in other activities to stay awake for the full 32 hours, The Toledo Blade reported Monday. Advertisement Organizers said the weekend's event raised $217,785.92, a record for the dance, for Mercy Children's Hospital in Toledo. Organizer Chrissy Daniel, 21, a senior from Willard, Ohio, said she was motivated to keep going by visiting "miracle children" from the Children's Miracle network. "These children are why we do this," she said. "It was so special."
