A St. Lucie County sheriff's deputy went to a house in Fort Pierce, Fla., where the victim told him someone threw a burger at his vehicle's passenger side while he was in the drive-through of a McDonald's fast-food restaurant.
Investigators said they found a "large spot" of ketchup measuring 6 inches by 6 inches on the side of the victim's vehicle and cheeseburger pieces on the hood.
The victim got the alleged cheeseburger chucker's license number, and investigators said they traced the vehicle to Stephens.
"I threw a cheeseburger at that (racial epithet's) truck," Stephens reportedly told police. "He pissed me off and if I have to go to jail for it then that's OK."
