CHICAGO, March 30 (UPI) -- A bikini with a "pushup" swim top aimed at 7-to-12-year-olds has been removed the Abercrombie Kids Web site, the Ohio company confirmed.

After protests, the company first changed the description of its "Ashley" bikini top from "pushup" to "padded" on Monday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

"We've re-categorized the Ashley swimsuit as padded. We agree with those who say it is best 'suited' for girls age 12 and older," the company said via Facebook.

On Tuesday, the Ashley bikini top disappeared from the Web site completely.

Abercrombie has previously been criticized for selling thong underwear in children's sizes and for catalogs featuring provocative teenage-looking models, the Sun-Times reported.
