GRAYSLAKE, Ill., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- A member of an Illinois church said it took him eight months to publish the entire New Testament on Twitter.

Kyle Martin, a member of Lord of Glory Lutheran Church in Grayslake, said it took him 7,358 posts, which have a limit of 140 characters, to post the entire text of the King James Bible on the church's Twitter page, twitter.com/lordofglorylcms, the Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday.

Martin said one of the hardest parts of his task, which he completed in January, was posting the verses starting with the end of the Bible, as Twitter automatically puts the most recent posts at the top of the page.

He said the original plan was for the whole Bible, but he scaled back the project when he realized how long it was going to take.

"I thought I'd at least do the New Testament," Martin said.
