EAGAN, Minn., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A deer burst through an apartment window in Eagan, Minn., and was trapped in the bathroom with its front hooves lodged in the toilet bowl, police said.
Police got a call about the four-legged intruder at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported. City police Sgt. Dan Mason said when officers arrived at the unidentified couple's apartment in the Minneapolis-St. Paul suburb they found the deer bleeding heavily from cuts from the broken glass.
"It was a pretty bloody mess," Mason. "I've never seen this happen before."
The state Department of Natural Resources was called but the officers used a mattress to guide the deer back out of the apartment.
No people were hurt but it wasn't reported what happened to the deer after it was guided outside.
