CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Police in Iowa said a man who rammed the vehicle in front of him at a Taco Bell drive-through was frustrated by his long wait time.

Cedar Rapids police said they responded to a call from employees at the restaurant about 7 p.m. Thursday and Thomas Daily, 25, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, assault with a dangerous weapon and third-degree criminal mischief, The (Cedar Rapids) Gazette reported Monday.

Investigators said Daily rammed his pickup truck into a van being driven by Krystle Fowler-Adney, 25, then got out of his vehicle and yelled at the other driver and Taco Bell employees.

"He basically said, 'What are you waiting for? Christmas?'" Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said. "He had a few extra words in there."

Hamblin said Daily got back into his pickup and rammed the van three more times, shoving it out of his way in the driveway line. He was at the drive-through window when police arrived.

"His food hadn't gotten there," Hamblin said. "I think they were delaying it a little bit."

Police said Fowler-Adney and her passengers, another woman and a 12-year-old girl, were not injured.
