DALLAS, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A recent Texas college graduate won a job as Master Model Builder at a new Legoland Discovery Center by designing and building a Lego unicycle.

Cal Walsh, 24, who recently completed his degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Texas, won the $37,500-a-year job at the Dallas center, due to open in March, by creating the unicycle emblazoned with his name during a contest against nine other finalists at the Grapevine Mills Mall, The Dallas Morning News reported Monday.

"I'm really big into keeping balance in my life," Walsh, a unicycle enthusiast, said of his choice of model for the contest's final round.

Iain Scouller, general manager of the Dallas Legoland Discovery Center, said the location offers a more hands-on building experience than the Legoland theme park in California.

"It's much more than just playing with toys," he said.
