Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Police in Texas said a man who gave police a false name used the moniker of a wanted man whose records list him as 80 pounds heavier than the suspect. Fort Worth City Marshal Deputy John Rablee said he pulled over Marcus Howard, 23, for failing to dim his headlights. The suspect gave the name Jonathan Howard and a false birth date, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday. Advertisement Rablee said he looked the name up and found a Jonathan Howard with the given birthday and three Class C misdemeanor warrants. The deputy said he became suspicious of Howard's story when he saw the suspect's weight listed at 230 pounds, while the man he pulled over weighed only about 150 pounds. "Believing Howard was not telling the truth, I had him lift his shirt to see if there was any 'stretch marks' based on the large amount of weight lost," Rablee wrote in a report. "There were no signs of stretch marks on his legs, abdomen, thighs or neck." Rablee said Howard eventually gave his real name and birth date. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for indecent exposure and a charge of failure to identify himself. Advertisement "People that don't have ID on them probably frequently give us wrong names," City Marshal Jesse Hernandez said. "Every now and then, they pick one that has warrants."
