Mian Ishaq told police he was attending a Gujranwala wedding reception Monday with his third wife when two other spouses, Mehvish and Uzma, arrived with relatives and began overturning tables, The Daily Telegraph (Britain) reported Tuesday. Advertisement The women, who accused Ishaq of having a fourth wife in secret and planning to marry a fifth woman, beat their husband with their shoes, witnesses said. Police arrived at the reception and escorted the women out. Ishaq said his wives' accusations are "a blatant lie." "I am willing to swear on my life that I only have three wives," he said.
