JOHNSTOWN, Colo., Dec. 25 (UPI) -- The car George Bailey drove in "It's a Wonderful Life" has pulled into Colorado.

Keith and Marilyn Smith of Johnstown bought the 1919 Dodge from the beloved 1946 movie and added it to their collection Friday, the Greeley Tribune reported.

The fender of the Dodge, which was dented when Bailey, played by Jimmy Stewart, crashed it in the movie, has been fixed. Keith Smith, an antique car buff, repainted it in the early 1990s, and this month the couple bought it from a California collector.

The Smiths have the original title to the car, which lists the matching motor number from 1946. The owner was listed as 20th Century Fox, which made the film.

The California collector had owned the Dodge for 38 years. It appeared in a few car shows and once on "The Lawrence Welk Show."

The Smiths would not say how much they paid. The couple also own a 1928 Nash, a 1948 Lincoln Continental and pickups made in 1953 and 1956, among others.
