Lynne Gramling, president of Central Contractors' Supply Co. of Johnstown, said the company received a handwritten note from an anonymous person who said the $45 was to cover a hammer stolen from the business 25-30 years ago, The Johnstown Tribune-Democrat reported Tuesday. Advertisement "I'm sorry I stole it, but have changed my ways," the note read. "Hope God will forgive me for all the terrible things I have done in my life. This just being a small part." "I was amazed that someone would do that after so many years," Gramling said. "And I knew immediately that I couldn't keep the money. I knew right away that I wanted to give it to the Salvation Army."
