WINDSOR, Ontario, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A Canadian woman's Virgin Mary statue, which is rumored to weep oil at night, has been relocated to an area church after local officials ordered it moved.

Officials with St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church in Oldcastle, Ontario, said Fadia Ibrahim of Windsor, Ontario, had the statue moved to the facility from her front yard, The Detroit News reported Monday.

Ibrahim, who previously said she would not move the statue despite city officials ordering her to remove the 5-foot installment by Nov. 19, could not be reached for comment, the newspaper said.

The statue caused multiple complaints from neighbors about the dozens of daily visitors who would come to see the statue, which was rumored to smile during the day and cry tears of oil at night.
